52. Amulet 9: WaveRider by Kazu Kibuishi Has Been Announced!

If you haven't heard, Amulet 9 release date has just been announced! I've been waiting two years for an annoucement, but other kids and now adults have been waiting over 5 1/2 years for an announcement from Scholastic on when this book is coming out. Number nine has taken Kazu 5 1/2 years to make. Amulet series is a sci-fi kids graphic novel written by Kazu Kibuishi. A young kid, Emily, has the daunting task to save her Earth and the world she's in currently. It's a great series. I got into it because so many kids were asking for number nine, the series sounded good, and I enjoyed the art. I read all eight books in only a couple weeks, and I asked Kazu on February 27th, 2023 on Twitter when the ninth and final book is coming out. He got back to me, and he stated he is almost finished with it. A week later (March), he tweeted on his account he only had a couple more pages to color. Now, Scholastic just announced the release date for the ninth book, which will be coming out February 6th, 2024. In this episode, I'll be talking about this announcement, my thoughts on why they chose this date, and the work Kazu has put in for the last five years to make this book.
